Willy-Els te Boekhorst was born on 12-03-1958 in Haarlem. She composes for various instrumentations, such as saxophone quartet, string quartet, woodwind ensemble, fanfare and chamber orchestra. In 2007 she won second prize in the composition competition associated with the VSB poetry prize. Where the road takes us is composed against the background of the loss of a loved one. The image Willy Els had in mind is an enchanted forest, on which King Winter lost his grip.

A particularly intriguing and idiosyncratic composition by the Berlin-based Dutch composer Jan Herman Markus. Impressed by the writings of the medieval mystic Jan van Ruysbroeck, he wrote the Ruysbroeck Sonata for piano, violin, clarinet and speaking voice in 2011, which premiered that same year in the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche in Berlin. The music depicts in an evocative way the "ride" from the Brussels Rue des deux Tours to Groenendael, where the Priory of Van Ruysbroeck was located. One might be able to discover landmarks like the Pelouse des Anglais and the entry into the Zoniënwoud. The Chanson du canot is the unexpectedly shining pearl. The music ends with an intimate and profound text that refers to the face of God. The first three movements of the Sonata are for piano solo, in the fourth movement the clarinet makes an appearance and in the fifth movement the violin and speaking voice are added. Beachy Joys was composed for Harmoniekapel Crescendo Noordwijk after the arrival of the Covid-19 virus in 2020. It enables the concert band to stay active with smaller ensembles, when rehearsels for the complete band are not possible. The four movements are: Sand Castles 2.20 min; Short Sleeved Blues 3.30 min; Waltzing Waves 2.30 min; and Wash Rag 2.40 min.

The serenade as a musical form has evolved in the sixteenth century. Originally it is a musical tribute to one's lover, light and airy. This all leads us inevitable to composer Paul Dzon.

Dirk is a professional clarinet player, conductor and composer. But he also loves singing in the Goylants Kamerkoor. Although not professional, it is an outstanding choir. In 2013 the choir celebrated its 45 year jubilee with a special concert and Dirk composed this work as a grand finale for all the participants.

Mari-anne lives at a wonderful location in Utrecht. In this suite The old Utrecht for woodwinds and percussion she brings a tribute to this city. She opted for the atmosphere of 'past'.

The title of this composition comes from the street where Wil Senden (the co-founder of this publishing firm) lives. Willy inspired this tribute to Wil, who plays the English horn, on The Swan of Tuonela by Sibelius.

In Holland you can be surprised by the sound of a 'draaiorgel'. This is an organ on wheels traveling from one street or square to the next. A book with holes punched in it, is fed into the instrument and makes the air flow to the right pipes. It also commands the percussion that is also part of this instrument . The bellows and the book are moved bij the organ grinder, turning a big wheel. Ruud recreated its sound by this composition for woodwinds and percussion.

Andreas composed this lament, starring the English horn, in 2007 for Susanne Lucker, then his girlfriend, now his wife. Susanne plays the English horn herself, an instrument with a sound which many described as lamenting, wistful or enthralling. The work was performed by the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory in Tilburg, with Susanne as soloist and conducted by Andreas.
